Emily Conn is a designer, connector, and creative visionary who helps people feel grounded, inspired, and confident through meaningful interior design. As the founder of Lucky By Design Studio, she blends intuitive understanding with bold, intentional design to create spaces that reflect the depth of who her clients truly are. Her approach is grounded in the belief that our surroundings shape our confidence, energy, and path forward, and that beautiful design is never just aesthetic, it’s transformational.

Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Appalachian State University, graduating from a CIDA-accredited program that emphasized both technical excellence and human-centered design. Her education included time studying abroad in France, where she deepened her love for architectural history and cultural nuance. Before launching her own firm, she worked with high-end residential design studios in Chicago, gaining valuable experience in bespoke interiors and luxury project management. She later returned to her home state of North Carolina to be closer to family and to lay the foundation for a practice rooted in connection, meaning, and place.

With leadership experience through the American Society of Interior Designers, Emily has become a trusted voice in the Carolinas and beyond. Her style fuses modern edge with emotional intelligence, drawing inspiration from global travel, timeless forms, and her clients’ unique stories. Whether she’s leading an advocacy initiative or curating custom details for a residential project, she brings clarity, calm, and connection to every space she touches.

Currently serving as the 2024–2025 President of ASID Carolinas, Emily is passionate about uplifting the design profession through mentorship, storytelling, and strategy. She believes good design makes people feel seen, and that feeling seen is the luckiest thing of all.
